BigBox VR, makers of POPULATION: ONE, is seeking a Generalist 3D Artist who can help build the next generation of games for Virtual Reality. This individual has multiple years of experience as a games artist and loves multiplayer, online live service games. We are looking for a strong communicator who loves the iterative technical and creative process. This person will have the desire to understand a product holistically and can contribute creatively, knowing when to be pragmatic and when to be blue sky. This person will make art trade-offs that align with business objectives while embracing teamwork, as well as solve problems independently.
Responsibilities
- Complete assets from concepts, sketches, layout, and to the final product
- Communicate and collaborate with various cross-functional partners and collaborative
- Work with various 2D/3D Software packages (Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop)
- Work with a PBR workflow
- Create game ready assets
- Work in a fast-paced AAA Studio production pipeline
- Work on live service titles
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create environment, characters, and social player experiences
- Work with the art team to guide creative and engine-efficient art solutions for visual problems
- Collaborate with tools and engine teams to continually improve upon our custom workflows and technology
Minimum Qualification
- 5+ years of experience in AAA or Mobile game development
- Experience with Unity
- Experience learning new software tools and pipelines
- Experience creating assets for mobile and or VR platforms
- Experienced in creating polished models for use in games
- Experienced in optimizing meshes for games
- Experienced picking up new tools and techniques
Preferred Qualification
- Online portfolio or demo reel requested. Please include screenshots of your meshes and finished fully textured models
- Experience working with Unity
