We are looking for an exceptional Director, Strategic Account Development candidate located within a one hour flight time to the Bay area in California who can…


Perform in a high-visibility, new and unique role to deliver design wins and business growth at global strategic accounts. You will employ proactive selling discipline to identify and connect with key influencers. You will build multi-layer relationships at all levels in the customer organization while working in concert with a team of regional account managers. You will contribute to product and technology roadmaps to align with customer product/platform transitions.


  • Teamwork is the key to effectiveness and success, coordinate the team to obtain new business and design wins
  • Use creativity and persistence to establish and manage relationships, including executive and c-suite contacts, at the customer and their ecosystem partners and connect the customer to appropriate contacts within MKS
  • Through a combination of technical and business acumen, identify and effectively communicate customer technology roadmap and product transitions to MKS leadership as input to strategic planning and direction
  • Contribute to the on-going optimization of the customer experience at each assigned account


What you will bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:


  • Minimum BS in Physics, Optics or Engineering discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with a blend of sales, business development, and product management
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with laser and photonics technology
  • Experience with executive engagement, contributing to corporate strategy, or performing as a key contributor on engineering teams, initiatives, or projects is desirable.
