Experis Game Solutions is starting up a new team for VR video games in Portland, OR! We've partnered with a new client to build the future of connection within virtual and augmented reality and are hiring Software Test Engineers to fill this core team to release a virtual reality, online game with an integrated game creation system. As a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for the efficient execution of your area plans in coordination with production, development, and other area owners on innovative and fun teams you'll use strategic insight to prioritize tests with greater risk and prove your testing coverage through proper communication. Responsibilities Include Assuring the proper testing environment and configuration on VR headsets for several others on the team. Plan and execute efficient, technical, and comprehensive testing for owned game areas Mirror the updates of the build to the status of bugs in the database adjust test planning accordingly Maintain database integrity and knowledge of the bug database at all points of the testing cycle Use and progress appropriate game testing tools, technology, and processes Send timely, data-supported area reports to drive future testing Mentor and share your knowledge with others through collaboration and peer reviews Promote an efficient, positive testing environment Confident and clear communication Qualifications and Requirements Three+ years of experience testing video games, digital software andor hardware Strong knowledge of software testing practices Strong knowledge of video game development and testing cycle through experience shipping multiple titles Success in coordinating test efforts for a project from its beginning to release Experience in owning the quality for multiple areas of shipped products Knowledge in the Microsoft Office Suite Passionate about product quality and customer advocacy Preferred Skills Oculus and VR testing experience Deep knowledge of game areas and certification requirements within video games High output of high quality bug reports proactive with strong analytical problem solving Working knowledge of relational databases and associated technologies SQL, SSMS, Python, R Strong aptitude for data analytics and visualizations through common tools including Excel, Power BI, or Tableau to provide valuable insights upstream At Experis, we care about people and the role of work in their lives.
