Prisms of Reality is a SF and NYC-based team of educators, game developers, and engineers who are transforming K12 STEM education through experiential real-world problem-solving. We utilize adaptive Virtual Reality (VR) to engage, inspire, and open pathways to creative problem-solving through Math. Our mission is to break down barriers to access and build STEM proficiencies at scale for all students, world-wide.


We are rapidly expanding our team to fasttrack the impact of our student-facing VR content libraries and educator-facing data tools to make VR a mainstay in the K-12 classroom.


JOB DESCRIPTION

Prisms seeks a seasoned VP of Sales and Business Development who will target, pitch and close new K12 clients while building a scalable sales function and team. Working with Executive Leadership, you will build on Prisms' initial success in acquiring and serving anchor tenant K12 clients in strategic US-based locations. You must have a proven track record in direct sales to K12 school districts and LEAs. You will be measured on your ability to develop and manage a sales pipeline, close new business and recruit a high performing team and sales function. You must be self-directed, entrepreneurial, growth-driven and a leader at heart.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Create a plan to target, pitch and close K12 education clients.
  • Build, manage and grow a pipeline and hit quarterly sales goals.
  • Recruit, hire and lead a team of direct sales associates.
  • Work with the Customer Experience team to ensure fluid onboarding, coordinated implementation and clear evidence of effectiveness in order to drive upsells and renewals.
  • Build a long term sales strategy replete with budgets, forecasts and plans for key hires.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on the strategic direction of Prisms as we set the standard for transformative STEM education.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in K12 Sales.
  • Strong relationships in K12 Education.
  • Proven track record in building and managing a pipeline of new business.
  • A college degree is required (BA/BS); an MBA is a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills are a must.
  • Ability to travel but also provide virtual presentations and demonstrations is critical.
  • Proficiency with sales enablement and operations tools such as Hubspot.
  • Understanding of digital learning solutions that advance STEM proficiencies is a major plus.
  • Must be authorized to work in the US.
