SAIC is hiring
Serious Games Developers. This is a remote position. In this role, you will collaborate with team members to develop various gameplay and other systems.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Use the Unity engine to design and implement well-engineered, reliable, maintainable, and bug-free code.
- Develop and test code, fix bugs, and profile and optimize code as directed.
- Follow best practices, development processes, and coding standards.
- Document and peer review technical designs with other software engineers.
- Work with QA, providing information needed to fully test developed code.
- Provide support to internal customers for developed software.
- Keep up to date on state-of-the-art software engineering methods, practices, and technologies.
- Communicate with other team members, internal customers, and when required external customers to determine requirements.
- Work well together with other team members in a cooperative, cross- disciplinary team environment.
- Identify technical and developmental risks/obstacles and generate solutions to overcome identified risks.
- Demonstrated ability to self-manage and effectively work remotely form customers and with other team members.
- Possess and develop areas of engineering expertise.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- Bachelors and 9 years of experience; Masters and 7 years of experience; PhD or JD and 4 years of experience; Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain a SECRET Security Clearance.
- Demonstrated experience with Unity game engine.
- Strong C# programming skills.
- A passion for making and playing games, particularly Serious Games.
- Work well in a cooperative environment.
- Experience programming game features and systems.
- One or more shipped products, especially PC or tablet products.
- Strong source control experience.
- Agile development experience.
Desired Qualifications
- Serious Games development experience.
- Flight Simulation experience.
- Unreal Engine 4 experience.
- Experience using and creating software for AR/VR/MR hardware.
- UI development experience, including Scaleform and/or Flash/AS2/AS3 knowledge.
- Online game and/or MMO development experience, including client/server development of game features.
- Experience in game physics programming and 3D math.

Target salary range $95,001 - $105,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
