Role: XR Unity Engineer/Developer

Light Mynd is looking for a skilled XR Unity Engineer who can help us pick up momentum. If you work out and fit in with our current team, we will consider you for an executive level position. We’re looking for the missing cog in our wheel. Advertising for an XR Unity Engineer for an EdTech software startup makes about as much sense as advertising for a spouse. These things need to happen organically, over time we get that. What follows is just the “happy path” we envision.

Light Mynd is an EdTech company delivering social-emotional learning (SEL) to 21st century K-12 students. We’re building a brand-new, innovative platform and content to engage students. Using virtual reality (VR) w/a wearable will provide a data-driven way to provide measurable outcomes for students, parents, teachers, and school administration.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with CEO on product and overall strategy
• Establish the company's technology vision (Architect)
• 3+ years working with Unity game engine to create XR simulations (Developing/Coding)
• Preferably 10+ years in Cloud Architecture and Software Engineering
• Working with IOT and understanding network connections (Engineering)
• Preferred knowledge of machine learning and creating algorithms (Engineering/Data Science)
• Shape and sustain company’s culture and values
• Observe and research on cutting-edge technologies and identify opportunities
• Support fundraising
