We. are looking for a Quality Assurance Test Engineer and Virtual Reality Technician that will be responsible for performing Setup, Configuration, and Testing of VR Pods and QA of Location-based VR Systems and Experiences. This role includes working with QA Lead, Integration Engineering, Enterprise Engineering teams, executing and modifying QA test plans, and documenting testing outcomes. Additional responsibilities include regular coordination with other teams to support Pod demos and Pod setup/tear-down/reconfiguration.

Responsibilities
  • Work with our Engineering and Operations Teams to achieve an understanding of VR Pod design, functionality, and operations
  • Responsible for running and modifying QA test plans for functional, regression, and acceptance tests of VR Pod software and hardware configurations
  • Perform quality review of different in-Pod hardware and software combinations as needed - including Alpha Beta, and Production level releases
  • Perform VR Pod calibration tasks (readjusting cameras, debugging problems, etc.)
  • Program and operate computer-controlled VR Pod experience elements
  • Perform the physical duties necessary for the set-up and strike of VR Pod equipment
  • Ensure VR Pod readiness by verifying adequate hardware is assigned
  • Assist with Creative QA testing of experiences
  • Image VR Pod systems and prepare Show Control Hardware for customer or lab deployment
  • Assist in identifying and tracking QA defects and signatures across software versions and system configurations
  • Assist in writing and maintaining excellent documentation
  • Participate in on-call, remote, or on-site support and maintenance activities as needed
  • Refine processes to develop a culture of quality and high availability
Qualifications
  • QA engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in testing various applications, services, and user interfaces
  • Experience with test or QA software tools
  • Basic understanding of software development lifecycle
  • Able to work in a dynamic environment, able to adjust to new information, shifting priorities and schedules
  • Familiarity with Windows
  • Familiarity with Computer Hardware testing
  • Basic skills with scripting languages such as Batch files, Bash, PowerShell a plus
  • Experience with Location-based VR or Game Systems a plus
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
