Job Description

Mott MacDonald is hiring an experienced 3D modeling and visualization manager in our Digital Delivery group. This person will manage the North America visualization group and work alongside other talented individuals to support project teams throughout region on proposals, ongoing design, and construction management projects. This person will support projects utilizing skills in 3D modeling, rendering and animation, real time modeling, Virtual Reality/ Augmented Reality (VR/AR) innovation, staff, and task management.


Job Responsibilities

• Develop 3D models that supplement existing BIM models to create hi-end visual outputs for public outreach and communications.
• Generate hi-end visualizations, renderings, and virtual mocks up, including simulations that depict ‘before and after’ conditions
• Convert 2D files, reality capture, field data, and other data sources into 3D models
• Develop new 3D models to supplement current content libraries
• Organize and manage 3D content library
• Provide editing and compositing services to create 3D virtual videos depicting proposed designs
• Collaborate with IT colleagues, external partners, and other stakeholders to successfully deliver assignments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts in simple to understand visuals
• Manage visualizations tasks and sub tasks
• Assist in presentation and provide proposal support
• Train others on 3D modeling workflows and techniques
  
  
  

Candidate Specification

We Invite Applications From Candidates With The Following Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in engineering/related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum 10-15 years of experience in 3D modeling and visualizations
• Strong background in 3DS Max and Adobe Photoshop
• Strong understanding in developing and managing 3D models and scenes per project standards
• Experience in rendering mega 3D model scenes using V-Ray and 3DS Max
• Experience in video editing and compositing applications
• Experience with interoperability between multiple 3D digital environments and formats

Highly desirable experience includes multi-disciplinary 3D application experience, specifically:

• Proficient in Autodesk Visualization Software: 3DS Max, ReCap, and InfraWorks
• Skilled in Adobe Photoshop, Premier and Global Mapper
• Working knowledge in Bentley Software: MicroStation, ConceptStation, and ContextCapture
• Working knowledge in Autodesk BIM Applications: Revit, AutoCAD Civil 3D and Navisworks
