Facebook Reality Labs (FRL) is seeking a seasoned leader to join the Developer Ecosystem Organization, supporting the Global Quest Developer Programs team. This person will lead FRL’s strategy for scaled developer programs, collaborating with our Product, Content, Operations, Marketing and Communications teams to ensure a coordinated and best-in-class experience for program members and the larger Quest developer community. We are looking for someone who is skilled at creating inclusive spaces when solving hard problems, recognizing diverse perspectives, and designing and leading complex cross-functional initiatives in early-stage tech industries. The Global Quest Developer Programs team designs, grows and facilitates core developer programs including Oculus Start, Oculus Launch Pad and the new publishing services program within the FRL Content Ecosystem team. Together, these programs foster up-and-coming hits, diverse voices and a healthy ecosystem within the VR developer community - ultimately driving successful content onto the Quest platform.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of individual contributors and managers
- Identify, lead and execute existing and new developer programs that drive the future Quest strategy and vision, ensuring executional excellence
- Grow the existing Quest Publishing Program across promotional services with visionary, lucrative and relevant ideas
- Oversee negotiations, onboarding and management of vendors and agencies supporting asset creation and optimization for top-tier title launches
- Partner with FRL Content team to ensure a comprehensive catalog strategy that supports our efforts to help bring the metaverse to life
- Collaborate with Marketing and Product teams to develop a comprehensive view of the work that’s required across teams to build a healthy AR/VR ecosystem
- Help identify and support those initiatives that cut across teams, focusing on the interdependencies between the work of individual teams
- Support the development of a robust measurement plan to ensure that the developer programs strategy is calibrated across FRL and demonstrates business impact
- Scale high impact initiatives within programs to the entire ecosystem
- Approach all initiatives with diversity, equity and inclusion in mind and champion team impact in this space internally and externally by partnering with the Communications team. Be a source of deep insights about the developer ecosystem and program members to our leadership team
- Execute in an intense, fast-paced, and highly iterative environment
- Develop and manage world-class ideas that positively impact the future of the metaverse
Minimum Qualification
- 7+ years experience in people management
- Experience working directly with management as well as people at all levels, including executive and C-suite level, both inside and outside of a company
- Experience translating insights and data into highly impactful projects or programs
- Experience creating breakthrough ideas that evolve existing strategies
- Experience leading cross-functional efforts across competing priorities and constrained resources
- Demonstrate skills and experience working with agencies, production partners and vendors to help deliver ideas
- Proven communication, influencing and problem-solving skills
- Resourceful, action-orientated with experience to get things done independently and overcome obstacles by developing creative solutions to problems
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
Preferred Qualification
- Proven track record of leadership and hands-on experience building developer programs
- Expertise in digital goods publishing or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of digital business models and technology
- Proven track record with high standards of professionalism
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and experience developing strong working relationships inside and outside Facebook
- Creative, resourceful, detail-oriented, highly organized
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience meeting multiple objectives in an entrepreneurial environment with little supervision
