Position Summary... What You'll Do...

As a Content Designer, you will...
  • Identify curriculum needs enterprise-wide, supporting associates in our Home Office, Supply Chain and in stores across the US.
  • Recommend and develop quality learning content in a variety of modalities (Traditional ILT, eLearning, Video, AR, Micro Learning, VR, etc.) depending on the needs of our learners and our business.
  • Adapt style and tone of content development to fit a variety of roles across our enterprise (Hourly Store Associates, Salaried Store Management, HO Merchandising and Replenishment, Executive Leadership, etc.).
  • Develop and maintain targeted learning assessments to measure key outcomes in our stores and Home Office.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to produce timely, relevant content that instills key behaviors in learners and produces measurable results.
  • Embrace an Agile mindset/way of working, while adapting to ongoing changes in our business.
  • Research trends and advancements in the Learning and Development space, applying these to Walmart's content development.
  • Exchange ongoing constructive feedback about content development and curriculum design with peers, supervisors, and other collaborators across the broader Learning team.
  • Contribute to Walmart's High-Performance Culture by demonstrating ownership, accountability, and openness to feedback
  • Input curriculum data into both Excel spreadsheets and Walmart’s learning database with accuracy, specificity, and attention to detail.
  • Audit existing data within Walmart’s curriculum database for template-adherence, searchability, and platform functionality.
  • Identify database issues, communicates these issues to the broader database team, and works collaboratively to find solutions.
  • Work proactively to improve database entry and maintenance processes and advocates for process-adherence throughout the broader Learning Team.
  • Think critically to summarize and package curriculum data for precise, consistent searchability.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Education, Instructional Design or related field and 2 years’ experience in adult learning, training, content development, taxonomy & content management or related area.
  • Experience in Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) development, eLearning design, graphic design including experience using Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities.
  • Computer literate, displaying proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Spanish fluency for translation of training scripts and documentation.
