Software engineer

Genesis Global is seeking a software engineer with solid experience in C#, Unity, and AR/VR development.

We are looking for a self-motivated, passionate engineer who would like to work in a small development environment with broad responsibilities.

You must have hands-on experience shipping product-grade C# applications as well as experience with AR/VR development.

Minimum Requirements

• 6+ years of experience shipping production-grade C# and Unity applications.
• Hands-on experience with mixed reality, AR & VR development.
• Understanding of how to keep app performance and user experience a top priority.
• Familiarity and a general understanding of front-end/back-end web development, cloud platforms, and web stack development is a plus.
• Self-starter with a mindset of continuous improvement and growth.
• Experience with team application development, CI/CD, and VCS systems like GitHub.
• Comfort with incremental code testing and deployment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced small team environment.
• Education: BS/BE in CS or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Building and debugging frameworks, tools, and applications.
• Tracking and reporting on project status.
• Interfacing closely with various teams including quality assurance, server developers, machine learning engineers, and business managers to translate requirements and constraints into native software.
• Working with the team to identify and implement data-driven improvements to systems and processes.
• Clearly communicating with the team progress made, define deliverables, and help set timelines.
• Working on code remediation and improving application performance.
• Collaboration with team members (Quality Assurance, Development, Operations) to determine possible solutions for any problems or issues
