What You’ll Be Doing...

The Verizon Innovation Center and 5G Lab teams operate within an ecosystem driving the evolution of Verizon and partner technologies including 5G, edge computing, AR, VR, XR, IoT, robotics and beyond. You will be serving a lead role in the build out and ongoing management of Verizon’s new Innovation Center & 5G Lab in Boston, MA.

• Facilitating engagements which include technology workshops and innovation sessions with enterprise customers, partners, academics and other visiting groups.
• Collaborating with Verizon sales, product and technical teams to tailor Innovation Center engagements.
• Curating various technologies (5G, edge compute, AR, VR, IoT, AI/ML, etc) to build a portfolio of technology demos and proof of concepts.
• Managing technical team members and the overall technology environment within the Center.
• Providing industry specific insights to product and technology development teams based on Innovation Center engagements.
• Identifying and sourcing potential 5G and mobile edge compute use cases through engagement with local and regional ecosystem.
• Managing financial operations and resourcing within the Center.
  

You'll Need To Have

What we’re looking for...

• Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience
• Six or more years of relevant work experience.
• Experience interfacing with customers ranging from executives to front line engineering teams.
• Conversant knowledge of technologies including wireless networking, 5G, edge compute, AR, VR, IoT, and AI/ML
• Willingness to travel.
  

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

• Eight or more years of experience.
• MBA; Engineering.
• Experience in Technology Strategy, Innovation, Product Development or Business Development with a technology focus.
• Interpersonal, verbal and written skills and working effectively with Executives.
• Strong leadership skills and collaboration skills.
• Ability to coordinate and deliver through matrixed people management.
