Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years Program Management experience in Consumer Electronics (DSP, ISP, Compute/ML) managing design, contract manufacturing, and product launch for multiple chips.
  • Experience as an engineer developing hardware or software systems.
  • Experience executing within resource and schedule constraints.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with ASIC methodologies, IP design, and leading tape-outs.
  • Ability to motivate and focus a large collaboration to reach challenging goals.
  • Ability to participate in video conferences outside working hours and travel up to 20%.
  • Outstanding analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.

Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage projects of various size and scope, identifying future opportunities, improving processes and driving the technical directions of your programs.

The Google AR (Augmented Reality) Hardware Engineering Team is responsible for building and launching immersive Devices such as the Daydream Viewer, Lens, Glasses, and other incubation solutions. The team works on all the Hardware, Embedded Software, Ambient Computing, and Cloud Services that enable Google devices to provide excellent user experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Manage technical programs, working closely with technical staff to develop, track, and manage custom silicon project workstreams.
  • Develop and drive hardware validation plans and data-driven product development schedules with well-defined milestones, dependencies, and budgets.
  • Assess builds through monitoring of issues, and quantitatively assess bugs by managing validations, test results, and trends.
  • Develop tools and processes to collaborate engineering productivity and own technical relationships with cross-functional vendors and partners.
  • Provide clear communication across functional teams to drive transparency and coordination of deliverables; Identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and facilitate conflict resolution.
