UX Researcher V


As a UX researcher within our client's Reality Labs VR Product team, you'll have the opportunity to partner with other researchers and cross-functional stakeholders on projects to make VR valuable and engaging for users. Research is paramount to this organizations success - foundational research is needed to identify the right user needs and people problems to tackle with product/feature solutions and iterative evaluative research across the product lifecycle (e.g., concept testing, prototypes) is needed to provide impactful insights to the design and development teams. You are guaranteed to be pushing the boundaries of VR and work with the technology of tomorrow.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with researchers, designers, PMs & engineers to identify, define and deliver meaningful social VR products and features for their various platforms
  • Collaboratively and independently develop and execute research projects
  • Lead various research studies throughout all the phases of the research cycle and contextualizing insights for stakeholders
  • Work with stakeholders to influence product roadmaps and strategy based on research insights
  • Manage research vendors to help augment the work of the research team


Requirements:

  • BA/BS in a human behavior related field, such as human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, information science, media studies or computer science
  • 3+ years of UX Research experience working on shipped products, conducting both formative and evaluative research
  • Experience with using VR/AR/MR devices and apps is preferred
  • Strong qualitative research skills, especially with conducting in-depth interviews, moderated prototype evaluation, thematic analysis of feedback and generating clear narratives from user feedback.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage ones time.
  • Experience with storytelling to get traction with various audiences
  • Experience with autonomy and decision making to balance demands and prioritization
