The Account Director will serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of top-tier clients. You will be responsible for delivering creative and strategic work that creates a powerful connection between brands and their consumers. This includes leading day-to-day account management and client services, project finances, scope adherence, and project management across a variety of creative marketing campaigns – experiential, digital, social, and content. You must be business-minded and able to support business development and client pitches in accordance with established Partner needs and processes.


Requirements/Responsibilities:

  • Manage agency services and day-to-day communications for key clients 
  • Work proactively to provide client marketing needs, deliver added value through diligence and clear communication, and identify opportunities for account growth 
  • Receive client and business development briefings with Senior Leadership and/or Partners, analyze deliverables alongside background knowledge and research to produce a project brief, and plan 
  • Build, present and negotiate project budgets and scopes with clients in collaboration with Senior Leadership and/or the Production team
  • Ensure all strategies are clearly defined and understood by Senior Leadership before presenting them to clients 
  • Create and collaborate on client presentations, including being a core part of the presentation team 
  • Provide sign off on key documentation and deliverables before they go to clients to ensure each campaign is delivered to the highest standard 
  • Respond to client feedback and provide internal and third-party creative, production, and interactive personnel with well-documented asks, clear feedback, and defined timelines. 
  • Stay abreast of all client activities and programs across agencies, communicate this clearly and regularly to Senior Leadership and Partners
  • Compile insights and research supporting strategic development across accounts 


Project Management

  • Provide project management and team oversight for the following types of projects: 

-Campaigns

-Experiential

-Digital

-Content (photo and video)

  • Oversee the creation of project schedules and production plans
  • Employ and execute agency protocol and processes for briefing, strategy, creative, planning, project management, delivery, reporting, and closeout procedures
  • Manage, implement, and monitor projects and budgets in a timely and efficient way, ensuring schedules and financials are tightly managed
  • Collaborate with Production and Senior Leadership to identify project resourcing needs
  • Oversee weekly client and internal project/production status reports/meetings
  • Use and maintain project management software, collaboration tools, calendars, file-sharing, time tracking, and company expense tracking


Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of agency experience as an Account Director or Executive Producer in an agency context
  • Proven success as a manager and team-builder across partners, clients, and staff
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership capabilities, process-oriented
  • Natural entrepreneur, keen to pursue relationships and new business
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with aptitude in fostering long-term relationships
  • Passion for entertainment and new communication techniques
  • Solid understanding of budgeting from $50K-5M
  • Demonstrated keen understanding of digital and social platforms and digital communication
  • Key experiential campaign experience, with a strong background in project management
  • Understanding of the video production, licensing and contracting process from pitch to asset delivery
  • Demonstrated ability for storytelling to help build brand stories for client programs
  • Demonstrated understanding and management of creative assets
  • Understanding of KPI setting and assessing ROI
  • Working knowledge of Google Apps and Microsoft 365. Knowledge of Asana and Mavenlink is a plus!
