We are seeking innovative Optical Test Engineers with experience developing and deploying automated optical test solutions for innovative optical displays. This is a full-time position and requires a master's level degree in optical engineering, physics or related degree and relevant experience. Successful candidates must be comfortable working in a dynamic cross-functional team and exhibit excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities
  • Develop testing and metrology methods and stations for optical display calibration
  • Source and qualify appropriate optical characterization instruments
  • Work with partners to develop and optimize new calibration methods
  • Drive vendors to deliver automated test stations in-factory to support engineering schedule
  • Track record of improving station performance and reducing cost across builds
  • Collect and analyze test data to validate and optimize test stations
  • Travel 15%
Minimum Qualification
  • Masters degree or PhD in Optical Engineering, Physics or related field
  • 5+ years experience building optical display or camera test stations for mass production
  • 5+ years of managing outside vendors, building SOWs, and delivering and supporting in-factory
  • Experienced putting fundamental optical characterization methods such as MTF into practice
  • Experience with statistical data analysis methods and tools including GR&R
  • Experience driving test for shipping products according to the PDP manufacturing process
Preferred Qualification
  • Experience working with station assemblies in SolidWorks
  • 2+ years coding experience in Python
  • AR/VR experience
