As a key member within the growth team, the Growth Lead focused on Pricing and Packaging will play a critical role in our success by driving the execution of pricing and packaging strategy for our entire product portfolio of AR solutions. Pricing and packaging is one of the most important growth levers of a modern software business. Therefore, not only will you have the unique opportunity to develop foundational pricing and packaging strategies for an entirely new product category, you will get to do so as part of an established growth team, enabling you to connect the dots between strategy and execution through business-critical growth initiatives
To be successful, you must have a deep understanding of business fundamentals and growth frameworks, particularly for hypergrowth SaaS/subscription businesses. Importantly, you will not just be responsible for designing programs to capitalize on those growth opportunities but also for executing those programs to deliver tangible business results, such as increased deal size, increased deal count, or increased renewals and expansions.
You will be focused on analyzing data, building hypothesis, testing those hypotheses, and measuring results through critical metrics, with the goal of reducing barriers to value and accelerate adoption. As part of the Growth Team, you will also spend time interfacing with customers and partners, delivering thought leadership around the applications of augmented reality and gathering important feedback on our portfolio and their needs.
You will also collaborate with a diverse cohort of internal stakeholders including product, marketing, sales, operations, and customer success to solve complex and often vaguely defined business problems.
Day-To-Day
Your core responsibilities will center around driving key parts of Vuforia’s business strategy, including:
- Driving the execution of pricing and packaging strategy, such as:
- Research and analysis related to monetization strategies
- Operationalizing pricing & packaging of new and existing products
- Support the field on deal customization (licensing, discounts, negotiations, competitive pricing)
- Driving core business strategy meetings for the segment, such as:
- Bi-quarterly business review presentations
- Monthly all-hands presentations
- Tracking performance of core business metrics as well as feedback from Sales and customers.
- Identifying key problems and blockers/opportunities of growth through quantitative and qualitative data, as well to resolve them.
- Additional responsibilities include supporting the execution of cross-functional growth initiatives led by Vuforia’s growth team.
Must-Have Skills
- Proven ability to formulate pricing strategies for SaaS/subscription business that increase brand value, minimize churn, and smooth the path of customer acquisition.
- Excellent written and verbal presentation and communication skills (with experience explaining complex technology and business value to senior stakeholders).
- Ability to foster collaborative relationships across an organization (e.g., with sales, marketing, product, and even back office functions).
- Ability to navigate through ambiguous and high-stakes circumstances to drive successful outcomes.
- Data-driven decision-making skills, with a proven track record to create value and solve problems using data.
- Must be detail oriented and inquisitive, with strong organizational skills. Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm and act as a flexible and innovative team player.
Preferred Experience
- 2-3 years in a Pricing, Strategic Product Management, and/or finance and/or marketing analytical roles, with at least 3 years in a pricing function with a strong track record.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.)
- MBA preferred
PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which may include the background and experience of all applicants, which can cause your compensation to vary. PTC anticipates the Growth Lead to start at a minimum annual salary of $101,000. The actual pay may be higher depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses and/or payment of any relocation expenses that might be incurred.
