Duration: 12-month contract (possible extensions up to 24-months, opportunity to convert FTE/PERM also!)

Summary:

Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join of the world’s leading social networking companies head quartered out of Menlo Park, CA. This individual will work with the AR/VR organization which helps people around the world come together through next generation Augmented, Mixed, and Virtual Reality. The Product Design Engineering team is working on cutting edge technology and needs help from skilled engineers that will help bring ideas to reality 

MUST HAVES:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience

5+ years of experience in mid to high-volume consumer electronics mechanical architecture and design

Design across multiple processes (IM, CNC, MIM, stamping, EE related, etc.)

Designed with/for Asia based vendors

Work experience with Asia based FATPs

Strong with 2D creation & use of GD&T

Strong with 3D part design in NX

Experience with FA and directing use of advanced techniques to arrive at true RC and proper CA

e.g. interpretation of results from x ray, ct scan, x-sections, FTIR, instron, etc

Experience with driving custom modules such as speaker, camera, battery, display, and wifi/cellular antennas

Strong verbal/written communication skills

Experience in mobile/wearables consumer electronics industry
