Summary
The Technology Development Group (TDG) is looking for a AR/VR Pipeline Engineer to help us build the next generation of interactive applications for our platform. This team is working with some of Apple's most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), machine learning (ML) and computer vision (CV). As a member of our organization you will assist us in crafting future products that will delight, inspire and empower millions of people.
Key Qualifications
Expert-level Python knowledge
C/C++ experience
Games and/or film production experience (In-depth knowledge of real time, animation, or film VFX pipelines)
Strong skills in one or more 3D DCC’s such as Maya, Houdini, Blender, or others
Excellent communication and organization skills
A strong team mentality
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting goals and priorities
Description
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining tools and workflows for our 3D content production process.
You will work with a variety of teams including artists, designers, and engineers to identify requirements and implement efficient solutions within an asset creation pipeline.
You will create and maintain a software ecosystem for sharing content between 3D packages such as Maya, Blender, Houdini, and others, as well as AR/VR applications.
Education & Experience
BS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Additional Requirements
These requirements are nice-to-haves:
Experience working/developing with USD in a pipeline environment (strongly preferred)
Game engine experience, especially scripting/API
Experience working on macOS and Linux
Experience with database design and administration
DevOps experience
UX design experience
Experience with Agile project management workflows
Working/developing with Shotgun
Swift experience
Experience with cloud platforms
Good presentation skills
