Are you passionate about innovative technology, including 3D LiDAR? MicroVision has an exciting opportunity for a Digital RTL Manager to become a key member of the digital team bringing their experience and vision to designing prototype hardware for the vertical.  As the Digital RTL Manager, you will leader and mentor to support our automotive 3D LiDAR sensing application, you should also be comfortable supporting integration efforts and developing on prototype hardware.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as the engineering leader and technical expert for the team.
  • Resolve issue brought forth from the team and build a team structure employees can excel in.
  • Create team plans and processes to align workflow with company goals.
  • Work with directors to develop staffing for program plan and program timelines.
  • Manage project goal completion and drive team to complete projects on time.
  • Provide visibility to director and executive staff on team’s progress and timeline estimates.
  • Continue working to improve team culture and to provide career growth opportunities for team members.
  • Hire, train, and supervise digital RTL staff member.
  • Monitor and determine training and staffing needs.
  • Conduct one on ones with team members to provide individual feedback.


Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work well in a fast moving and complex environment.
  • Proficient in FPGA Design methodologies spanning multiple abstraction levels.
  • Experience in FPGA hardware bring up procedures.
  • Plan and manage team’s project schedule and task management, providing visibility to director level team on status.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience managing digital design and/or design verification engineers.
  • 5+ years of experience designing silicon solutions and IP.


 Preferred:

  • Experience leading a team to meet company project goals.
  • Solid understanding of FPGA to ASIC design flow from architecture to tape out.
  • Work with product system engineers toward successful program engagements.
  • Outstanding communication and facilitation skills.
