EDG is a cutting-edge architecture, engineering and product design firm, looking for an Architectural Designer to join our team. You will work with our architectural team members and work closely with our onsite architects/engineers in meeting deadlines and achieving project goals. The ideal candidate has a high level of experience in New York City projects and a proficiency in architectural design software for building design. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development of Projects under the supervision of project leadership 
  • Exhibit initiative, innovation, and problem solving with a high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Produce presentation and contract deliverables such as diagrams, 3D models, drawings, and renderings. 
  • Prepare DOB filing sets
  • Assisting with construction administration, including a site visit, surveys, and inspection
  • Researching new materials, systems and products
  • Editing, maintaining and expanding CAD, Revit, Rhino details and library


Qualifications

  • 1-5years of professional architecture experience
  • Revit experience 
  • Expert proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Suite
  • Understanding of construction drawings and standards
  • Demonstrates an understanding of building materials, systems, specifications, details and construction techniques 
  • Knowledge of NYC Building Code and IBC
  • Knowledge of NYC zoning
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3D modeling and rendering experience preferred 
  • Physical model experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Ability to manage time and workload independently to meet project task deadlines and commitments with regular interaction and direction from project leaders.
