Are you passionate about accounting and being part of a small collaborative team? MicroVision has an exciting opportunity for an Accounting Manager as a key member in our Corporate Finance team. As the Accounting Manager, you will oversee the company’s accounting activities, lead and develop the company’s accounting staff, coordinate the monthly close process, and provide management and investors timely and accurate financial information.


Responsibilities:


  • Supervise and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
  • Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
  • Coordinate the monthly close process, account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Assist in preparation of SEC financial reporting
  • Ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance in financial reporting and accounting processes
  • Develop staff by managing performance, setting goals, providing ongoing training, and maintaining strong employee relationships
  • Coordinate with external auditors and assist with quarterly and year-end financial audit activities
  • Assist with the continued development of accounting processes and procedures
  • Prepare standard monthly reports
  • Prepare adhoc analyses and support the Controller on projects as needed


Qualifications:

  • Must have Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or similar. CPA or MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with a portion of it being in a supervisory role
  • Excellent knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Strong leadership skills with a dedication to driving and achieving results
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Prefer high-tech or R&D industry experience
  • Must have ERP or similar experience, preferably in NetSuite
  • Advanced skills in MS Excel, MS Word and Outlook
