Microsoft’s Center of Innovation (COI) organization is responsible for driving digital transformation and workplace design strategies for Microsoft’s Global Workplace Services (GWS) organization. The digital transformation program ensures digital architecture and infrastructure, transformation services, integrated facility management, sustainability, and accessibility behind physical workplace environments.

Role Requirements

This role requires an experienced Program Manager who can develop and manage an innovative approach for GWS technology readiness and support digital transformation. The Program Manager will work with internal and external stakeholders to identify risks and develop mitigation plans to ensure the successful deployment of new building lifecycle management solutions at scale.

Successful Candidate Attributes

A successful candidate will have functional knowledge of programming, extended reality, Microsoft cloud, and Microsoft edge computing. The candidate should have experience on the creation and execution of technology experimentation and prototyping projects and coordinating the work of project leaders across stakeholder organizations.

As such, the individual must also be an excellent communicator and comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment. Lastly, the candidate should have a growth mindset with a focus on learning, growth, and experimentation.

Responsibilities

The built environment is becoming more sustainable, accessible, and connected while the tools and processes for delivering the built environment are rapidly changing. Program Manager will define sharp execution plan for technical software development to support digital transformation by managing and developing experimental proof-of-concept projects. The role collaborates closely with various partners educating them about the full spectrum of emerging technology tools and leverages the technology experimentation and prototyping to support global Microsoft GWS teams. The role focuses on technical software development, and supports workplace connectivity, sustainability, accessibility, and security analysis with digital tools.

Functional Expertise;

People
  • Communicate on various projects to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to support organizational readiness.
  • Plan adoption framework and manage the technology transition to deployment.
  • Support people transitioning from traditional building lifecycle management to digital building lifecycle management.
Business
  • Research & evangelize emerging technology and solutions for Microsoft Global Workplace Services.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with GWS teams to incorporate results from this program’s Proof-of-Concept experiments into standards and playbooks.
  • Perform readiness assessment of tools and processes to identify operational go-live risks.
  • Align with stakeholders on the appropriate mitigation plans for identified risks.
  • Develop data requirements for metrics and measures for technology experimentation and prototyping milestones.
Technology
  • Develop Pilots and POCs using Microsoft products
  • Process and analyze data to build dashboards for value propositions and data-driven decisions
  • Manage GWS Azure Subscriptions
  • Cooperate with other COI teams to define the program requirements to scale solutions across the combined organization.
  • Collaboratively develop software tools that support the core GWS operations.
Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • S./B.A. degree required or equivalent industry experience.
  • Technical knowledge on Cloud (Public/Private), IaaS, PaaS, SaaS etc. 
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform (Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate, Power Virtual Agents)
  • Full-Stack development experience
  • Excellent written, verbal presentation and communications skills and especially across teams distributed worldwide
  • A keen ability to communicate complex ideas to audiences with various technical and less technical / business / entrepreneurial backgrounds.
  • Experience with IoT Devices and Sensors using IoTHub and Azure Digital Twins
  • Experience in .Net, Java or equivalent backend languages
  • Experience using REST APIs
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Experience working with Databases, Data Lakes, Data Warehouse and Blob Storage
  • Experience with SQL
  • Experience building ETL pipelines using Data Factory or similar technologies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience developing AR/VR Applications
  • Experience with AI/ML
  • Experience administrating an Azure subscription
  • Ability to design and architect solutions from Azure Services
  • Experience managing vendor relationships
  • Reputation for building credibility, generating trust, and forming alliances with internal and external stakeholders, including customers and partners.
  • Experience with business process optimization and change program execution
  • Experience in leading digital transformation
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and fortitude in dealing with ambiguity.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phrases of the project lifecycle
