Digital Manager
On a global scale, our customers value fast online contact with our service and field technicians, not only for quick reaction time but also for less cost by eliminating travel plus the ability to access a greater diversity of experts. The solution is a product suite of remote service and digitalization tools that can address reactive service needs, warranty issues, maintenance contracts, and inspections, remote commissioning, and more. With an existing installed base and excellent relationship with our customers, this product suite of digital service elements will strengthen our customer-partner relationships.
Job Summary:
The Digital Manager will fulfill this vision by orchestrating technical activities globally. They will understand the customer's needs as well as provide digital solutions and how to connect them. They will collaborate internally with Sales, Service, R&D from strategy development to proof-of-concept to deployed solution.
Essential Functions:
· Work hands-on with internal and external stakeholders to discover and translate needs and problems into requirements for digital solutions.
· Design and develop new digital data-driven technical solutions with and for customers based on customer problem statements and innovation ideas.
· Coach and lead small internal and external development teams to develop prototype digital solutions.
· Employ digitalization techniques to increase productivity and reduce costs of internal business processes.
· Create data-driven dashboards and services to visualize gathered data, evaluate customer problem statements, and beyond.
Required Education, Experience, Skills & Abilities:
· B.S. in a technical field preferred (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc.), MBA a plus.
· Experience with Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality (VR), Mixed Reality (MR) technology highly desired.
· Content creation experience for AR, VR, or MR highly desired.
· Experience with Digital Twin strategies and solutions highly desired.
· Ability to set up training concepts and material to lead internal training on using digital twins, 3D remote services, and interactive customer solutions.
· Experience with product management or project management with an emphasis on technology.
· Ability to create dashboards and data visualizations (BI, etc.) is desired.
· Experience with business process improvement, especially for OEMs desired.
· Experience working with internal groups (Service, Aftermarket, etc.) within an organization is a plus.
· Experience with cloud-based technologies (AWS, Azure, etc.) desired.
· Experience working with Web API services like SOAP, REST, etc. a plus.
· Working knowledge of CAD (Inventor, SolidWorks, etc.) and ERP systems (SAP) a plus.
· Familiarity with Stage-Gate and Agile Development methodologies is desired.
· Strong communication skills, including experience presenting to external and internal customers.
Additionally:
· Requires ability to interface with global colleagues over multiple time zones, primarily Europe and Australia.
· Requires ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed (est. 25%).
· This role can work remotely or can also work at one of the Schenck Process North America facility locations such as Solon, OH or Naperville, IL.
