MicroVision currently has an opportunity in our Information Technology group for an experienced Helpdesk Analyst.


Base Responsibilities: 

  • Direct support to employees, contractors, consultant and customer representatives who engage in support of MicroVision business objectives.
  • Administer MicroVision’ s portfolio of on-premises and cloud applications.
  • Provide Microsoft Windows desktop troubleshooting, in person and remote assistance for problems with computer systems, peripheral equipment, operating systems, web browsers, business, and network services.
  • Help users solve their IT problems and provide targeted instructions to users to improve their skills in using computer systems and applications.
  • Track, report, and escalate recurring problems using a helpdesk system. 
  • Configure new laptops/desktops for deployment with Office 365 and Engineering applications.
  • Responsible for ensuring that security and data integrity standards and processes are enforced,
  • Cable plant management
  • Must anticipate problems and take preventative action, as well as troubleshoot and solve problems that occur working directly with vendors if required. 
  • Application training and the creation of training materials
  • Enterprise Applications Support: On premises and Cloud based applications, storage-based services, SharePoint, ERP, PLM, PDM, QMS. Web conferencing solutions. Office 365 applications.
  • Installation support for Engineering applications such as: Solidworks, Ansys/Ansoft, Matlab and other network licensed applications.
  • Undertake projects as instructed by the IT Director.
  • Opportunity to take on additional duties as related to network, server, and security infrastructure.


Required skills

  • Maintaining, installing and upgrading PC/Mac systems.
  • With TCP/IP networking traffic flow (routers, switches, etc.)
  • Office 365 Domain level networks including knowledge of Active Directory, credentials, file shares and permissions


Required experience

  • Prior expertise working in a high-tech environment or technology company with the understanding of unique demands in functional areas like engineering, operations, marketing, or corporate services.
  • Must have the ability to interact appropriately with users at all levels (entry level to executive)
  • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
  • Deadline and detail driven. 


Education and Certification

Bachelor's Degree in field focus related to posted role responsibilities or required or combination of experience and education skills. CCNA, CompTIA, Microsoft, AWS or ITIL certifications a plus.
