Job Description

We’re looking for an Engineering Manager to join the TikTok Augmented Reality (AR) Effect team! You will lead a world-class engineering team designing and developing software for AR Effect platform and applications. Our AR Effect Platform powers the breakthroughs in interactive AR experience and intelligent content creation, used by hundreds of millions of Tiktok users around the world. 

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and inspire a team of experienced software engineers to work with cross-functional engineering & product teams solving complex technical challenges for AR platform, including AR software architecture, detection and tracking algorithms, real-time graphics pipeline, AR engines, creation tool suites, gameplay and interactions.
• Provide technical leadership, drive projects and define long-term technical roadmap, including business strategy, technology development, as well as team planning and management.
• Own features or components essential to the AR Effect platform. Lead the design and development process and be responsible for delivering features into products

Requirements:

• B.S. or M.S. Computer Science with 5+ years of software development experience
• Good understanding of software architecture with engineering management experience. Experience in building, scaling and managing engineering teams
• Proficient in C++ and deep software engineering knowledge. Strong background in mobile application development. Experience in video/image processing and AR/VR applications
• Computer vision knowledge and real-time computer graphics knowledge are preferred. Experiences in graphics pipeline, graphics rendering APIs (OpenGL ES/Metal/Vulkan) and experience in shader programming are preferred
• Experience in augmented reality or game engine development is preferred
