As a senior IT Manager for Software Services, you will be responsible for managing a large portfolio of application development, including web, mobile, and desktop applications using Microsoft technology stack. Managing Infrastructure automation practice utilizing PowerShell, Ansible, Azure Automation technologies to automate infrastructure services. You will be responsible for evaluating and implementing new technology capabilities such as RPA and chatbot. You are expected to provide thought leadership to global 24x7 operations for a large portfolio of applications and platforms.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with internal business stakeholders and a broad set of internal technical partners to develop product roadmaps and execute the projects to successful delivery.
- Analyze Micron's business requirements and convert them to software solutions.
- Review and approve technical software designs on a day-to-day basis to ensure the timely delivery of the software solutions.
- Manage 24x7 operations for Webhosting platform (.net IIS), large number of web applications, batch job hosting platform hosts large number of scheduled jobs.
- Provide thought leadership to Micron IT Automation practice, automating infrastructure service, platforms using ansible, RPA, Chatbot technologies.
- Troubleshoot the software application production outages and guide team members in the right direction to fix the issues, ensure business continuity, be the problem manager for system outages, and manage the stakeholders' expectations.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous quality improvement of technical standards, methodologies, and technologies.
- Manage global teams, provide team members with an environment of coaching, mentoring, feedback, and staff development.
- Influence your team's technical and business strategy by making insightful contributions to team priorities and approaches.
- Create yearly roadmaps, manage onsite and offshore team member's annual goals and roadmaps.
- Manage your team's metrics, report on your team and platform health regularly to leadership.
- Manage capital and operational budgets.
Job Requirements
- 15 years of experience in software engineering, engineering management, and delivering large-scale enterprise services required
- 3-5 years of experience managing engineering teams and managing managers.
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities to discuss, influence, and deliver technical concepts easily and efficiently to development teams.
- Strong proven experience in full systems development life cycle (SDLC).
- Strong hands-on experience in web application development using Microsoft .NET technology stack.
- Solid understanding of DevOps and configuration management practice.
- Proven experience in managing 24x7 operations for platforms and web applications.
- Proven experience in building and managing highly available and globally distributed platforms.
- RPA, Chatbots and IoC experience is a plus
- Excellent track record in delivering complex and cross functional projects.
- Ability to manage teams of developers, Testers, Business Analysts, and Integration developers and managers.
- Must be able to assist development teams during detail design activities to clear roadblocks and drive to an outcome.
- Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of successful large-scale, critical and/or difficult software efforts involving significant work (can be new software or a refactor of existing software)
- Take the lead in identifying and solving ambiguous problems, architecture deficiencies, or areas where your team's software bottlenecks the innovation of other teams.
- Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization either verbally, through email, or by attending team meetings on the status of current initiatives.
- Highly organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to review vendor partner's SOW, contracts and provide insightful input to influence the negotiations.

Education Qualification
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
