Mixed Reality is seeking a passionate, competent program manager with a successful track record of devising and deploying complex solutions for the National Security market.
We are looking for a business-oriented product strategist. In this role, you will lead across our broad team to develop DoD-centric product offering strategies for the Mixed Reality Public Sector Solutions team.
The ideal candidate understands the end-user mission, customer acquisition methods, and current industry offerings. The Strategic Initiatives PM will coordinate with Microsoft constituent engineering, business, finance, user research, and sales teams to develop line of business product strategies that meet Defense and Intelligence sector end-user needs. The combined market and product strategy will articulate technical and business goals that inform Mixed Reality business ambitions.
Responsibilities
- Identify unmet global defense sector end-user needs that can be solved by current and future Mixed Reality & Artificial Intelligence technologies.
- Determine and articulate the scope of future products through researched end-user needs, stated user objectives, and known capability gaps.
- Author and deliver complete product and business strategies to management.
- Develop guiding principles for the evolution of current and future Mixed Reality endeavors.
- Ensure Mixed Reality business endeavors meet customer needs and business expectations.
- Manage alignment of engineering and business teams across Mixed Reality and the broader Microsoft organization.
- Drive commercialization strategy and activities for the DoD solution practice.
- Assess product strategy through customer feedback coordinated with field salespeople.
- Provide information to management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports.
Required
Qualifications
- Previous experience (2+ years) in program and change management
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience
Preferred
- Proven ability to synthesize customer needs, technical solutions, and business opportunities to produce a concise execution path.
- Familiarity with the end-user mission, currently deployed solutions, and adjacent industry offerings.
- Experience developing complex programs, tactics, technology, and procedures for Defense specific scenarios.
- History developing and fielding technology solutions.
- Experience with the Congressional Defense Authorization and Appropriation Committees, the National Defense Authorization Act, and the Defense Appropriations Bill.
- Experience with executive level leadership across government.
- Experience building, developing, and testing ITAR controlled systems
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Citizenship Verification: This position requires verification of US Citizenship to meet federal government security requirements.
- This position will be required to pass a customer required Fingerprint Background Check.
- Have a secret clearance
