We are looking for a Unity Gaming Software Application Engineer to design and develop compelling experiences for Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality. You will research and develop new techniques and solutions to build the most compelling experiences and experiment with new immersive computing platforms.
You will work closely within a cross functional team and play a key role in the development of an innovative and unique platform that will allow for the next level of presence within immersive computing. You must be passionate about disruptive technologies, understand consumer behavior - ideally with exposure to AR/VR -, and willing to be part of the next breakthrough in human communication.
Responsibilities:
• Analyze, design, develop and debug real time AR/VR software for advanced prototypes and user experiences
• End-to-end development of new features from concept to deployment
• Incorporate new and creative technical solutions to optimize system performance
• In collaboration with Product and User Insights, professionally deliver new features within schedule and expected quality standards
Qualifications
• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• 3+ years in game development or experience with Unity/3D development
• Strong development in C++ and C#
• Have worked on consumer-focused applications for AR/VR highly desired
• The ability to rapidly iterate on product and platform features by writing elegant, reliable and readable code to build robust, lasting, and scalable products
• Network programming experience
• Familiarity with software build tools, issue tracking, and source control (preferably Git)
Preferred Qualifications
• Deep understanding of 3D math (matrices, vectors, some quaternions) and linear algebra
• Experience with 3D graphics building visual assets, e.g. modeling, rigging, animating
• UX/UI design experience
• Experience across multiple environments such as Oculus, Microsoft HoloLens, Magic Leap and engines from Unity, Unreal, Apple and Google
