Summary


Advanced learning technology such as Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality (VAMR) can improve Air Combat Command’s formal training programs and “bring the future faster.” This position will fall under the contract program manager for business reporting purposes but will report directly to the Combatant Command on all issues related to the research, development, and integration of technical advancements. The primary work location and offices will be within Langley AFB, Virginia.

The contractor will be required to travel at the direction of HQ ACC/A3 and the TRSS/CC.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities

·      Leads the team to achieve ACC/A3 objectives. Applies military aviation training experience to

manage innovation & advanced technology integration across multiple ACC training

programs. The Program Analyst/Team Lead duties include (but are not be limited to):

·      Staff action officer for training innovation and VAMR at HQ ACC/A3.

·      Conducts FTU site visits, analyzes and prioritizes innovation & technical integration

requirements, leads VAMR familiarization training, develops technology package proposals

and staffs requests through appropriate weapon system FAMs.

·      Advises operations training development, contract source selections & contract modifications

to support integration of emerging VAMR technology, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and

other innovative education and training techniques.

·      Prepares and delivers oral presentations, training sessions, consultations, and training strategy

sessions with ACC staff, operational and training units, and other USAF/DoD units as required.

Attends regular meetings at HQ ACC campus. Attends periodic conferences and innovation

workshops.

·      Coordinates with AFRL, AFWERX, AFAMS, ACC/A589, AETC, AFGSC, and other program leads

for innovation and technology across the DoD. 

 

Qualifications and Education Requirements

·      Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.

·      Requires U.S. military training experience as a weapons system instructor and/or evaluator.

·      Knowledge of military command structure, missions, programs, and organizational

relationships and program goals and objectives.

·      At least 10 years of military leadership experience.

·      Ability to plan, organize, and develop studies or projects, and to negotiate effectively with

management to accept and implement recommendations, where the proposals involve

substantial resources, and require extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.

·      Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET Security Clearance.

·      Willingness and ability to travel extensively across CONUS.


Desired Qualifications and Skills

·      Previous background as rated USAF officer.

·      Advanced degree and/or military IDE/SDE.

·      Experience with flight simulation, aircraft systems, and distributed simulation is desirable.

·      Experience with VAMR training systems, immersive training technologies, and computer based

learning.

·      Understanding of data analytics, training management systems, learning management

systems, student records, and proficiency based training execution.

·      A currently active DoD SECRET Security Clearance.


Security Responsibilities

Must comply with all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

o  Incumbent be eligible for Secret Security Clearance


Work Environment and Physical Demands

·      Work in a regular office environment; communicate via personal computer, telephone  and fax.

·      Must be physically able to enter and egress simulator.

·      Must be able to stand up and conduct academic instruction in classrooms for up to six hours

each day.

·      Domestic and international travel as required.
