At Facebook AR/VR Hardware, we’re developing the future of Portal, virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR) products. As a Display Module Process Engineer, you will be a member of our Display and Optics organization, taking a lead in display module equipment and process developments, leading the development of advanced technologies and designs, and working with the evolving ecosystems to provide differentiating capabilities to our HW platforms. You will be part of a tight-knit group of highly talented engineers at the forefront of the innovation for AR/VP and Portal products.
Responsibilities
- Lead Module Equipment & Process Development - development of complex manufacturing practices including materials, process optimization, equipment, metrology and system design
- Design for Manufacturability - Ensure not only the design is robust but also the equipment and process are scalable to ramp
- Utilize CAD(NX, SolidWorks, AutoCAD, etc.) tools to review equipment concepts and designs & design fixtures and jigs
- Perform FMEA for new equipment and process technologies and provide risk assessments
- Define & implement rigorous equipment/process validation plan, CTQs, FAT/SAT, and standards
- Ability to organize and drive cross-functional reviews of equipment/process requirements and ultimately drive design optimization
- Lead to all yield hitters and drive FACA, must be able to drive the responsible teams to address the issues
- Ability of document Request for Information/Proposal/Quotations that highlights the equipment/process requirements and specifications
- Willingness and ability to travel to Asia for no less than 20% of the role
Minimum Qualification
- Masters degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering with 3+ years experience or Bachelor in Electrical, Mechanical, Material, Optics Engineering with 5+ years experience or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of experience in the development of module equipment & process integration in the Flat Panel Display & Touch industries or optical module process related industries
- Experience performing and designing DOEs, data analysis, SPC control, root cause investigation, failure analysis, implement corrective action
- Experience building prototype fixtures and jigs to evaluate equipment/process concepts
- Experience communicating and delivering clear messages to cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualification
- Strong track-record of delivering products to market
- In-depth knowledge of AMLCD TFT, LC cell design or AMOLED and production process
- Experience in working directly with mainstream AMLCD or AMOLED vendors
- Excellent project management, communication, and people skills
