Responsibilities

• Architect content creation pipeline to empower artists and designers, reduce iteration times, and improve quality, especially using Shotgun Toolkit
• Lead the team around you to create and implement pipeline tools that support content creation in VR/AR
• Stay at the cutting edge of new and exciting developments across the industry
• Collaborate with the product owner and stakeholders to create a long term vision that balances company needs and project requests.
• Establish best practices, lead by example, and take pride in the quality of our solutions.
• Investigate issues with existing tools, implement fixes and features as needed, and lead others to solutions to issues they may be triaging.
• Teamwork! Actively collaborate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies, documentation, mentorship, learning from others, teaching what you know

Requirements:

Baseline

• 7+ years of experience in computer games, feature animation or VFX production pipeline technology.
• 3+ years experience providing technical leaderships to teams of 3 or more people in an Agile environment
• Advanced experience with customizing the Shotgun Toolkit, as well managing Shotgun site configurations and Shotgun projects using the Shotgun web UI.
• Advanced proficiency in Python.
• Advanced proficiency using one or more industry-specific DCC applications and the associated scripting APIs: Maya, Houdini or 3ds Max
• A strong understanding of Agile Development practices and DevOps: Software Testing, CI/CD, IaC.
• A strong understanding of production processes and artist workflows within computer games development, feature animation or VFX production pipelines.
• Good written and oral communication skills, people skills

Bonus Points

• Experience with workflows integrating USD
• Experience with game development (e.g. Unity, Unreal)
• Experience in software development using one or more C-style programming languages
• Experience in writing compiled DCC application plugins or extensions
• Experience working with one or more render queue managers (e.g. Deadline) and experience with writing custom render job submissions
• Experience with web development (e.g. Django, Flask)
