We are looking for an exceptional Senior Test Engineer who will support the development and manufacturing of products from design verification to validation and/or improvement of products.  What you will do is:

  • Collaborate with other engineers (design, manufacturing, quality and reliability) to participate in the early phase of the product development to define test, data collection and control plans.
  • Develop steps and processes to improve testing procedures, equipment/tooling and software.  Minimum of three years of LabView coding experience preferred.
  • Contribute to design reviews, routine project reports, design documentation, monitoring and publishing test results and establish steps to remedy problems.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for failures happened in qualification testing and/or field.
  • Develop and implement test fixtures; setup and use existing test equipment, monitor and report the results.
  • Develop and implement reliability analysis, design, validation and assessment methods to support successful new product introductions.

What will you bring to the team is:

  • BS in one of these disciplines: Electrical/Mechanical/Biomedical/Optical/Industrial/Automation/Software Engineering, Physics or equivalent. MS degree or equivalent advanced training is preferred.
  • Familiarity with risk management tools: Product Lifecycle Process, DfM, DfR, FMEAs, GR&R, Tolerancing.  Experience with creating GUIs to automate data collection or testing (using LabVIEW or other software) is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies).
  • Experience with industrial interfaces and standards (GPIB, RS-232/485, USB, EtherCAT, ModBUS) and instruments (motors, motion controllers, and control systems).
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings and have the capability to design simple optical, electrical and mechanical test and tooling fixtures using SolidWorks. 
  • Good problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical and resolve issues and system safety measures.  Hands-on experience with optical or laser systems and reliability testing using HALT/HASS chambers.  Familiarity with CE certifications and requirements a plus.
