We are looking for an exceptional Senior Environmental, Health and Safety Specialist who will ensure EHS compliance while creating and upholding our safety culture. As part of a growing team, you will Integrate EHS programs into daily operations to assure regulatory compliance, achieve continuous performance improvement and meet EHS performance objectives. In this hands-on role, the Senior EHS Specialist will own programs such as, the site Injury Illness & Prevention Program, Hazardous Communication Plan, and Ergonomics Program.


  • Assist in development, coordination, and the implementation of the Corporate policies regarding EHS
  • Support and develop the CSR- EHS & Sustainability programs (Corporate Social Responsibility)
  • Provides technical support and information in the development of key metrics and objectives for EHS
  • Interact with the various local, state and federal agencies such as OSHA, DEP, EPA, Insurance carriers, Local Fire/Police, and many others for permitting and inspection requirements
  • Chair the Safety Committee each month and coordinate with members to complete action items
  • Train employees on company policies and regulations pertaining to employee safety in conjunction with Human Resources such as Blood Borne Pathogens, HazCom, Chemical Hygiene, LOTO, etc.
  • Leads incident investigations and root cause corrective action plans and corrective action implementation
  • Performs proactive safety inspections, monitors hazardous waste removal vendors, and assists in consolidating hazardous wastes.
  • Review plans for operational projects, equipment installation, etc. Determine compliance with safety, security and environmental requirements
  • Works directly with first line supervision and management to implement the EHS Program in an effective manner
  • Tracks and manages site EHS budget

What you will bring to the team, along with your curiosity is:


  • B.S. degree or higher in Environmental field or related discipline or equivalent experience in lieu of degree
  • 3-5 years of experience in EHS field
  • Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of health and safety functions within a manufacturing environment and the federal and state regulations
  • Environmental or OSHA related training such as HAZWOPER, GHS, etc. is desired
  • Certification for Wastewater Management/Operator desired
