We are looking for an exceptional innovative team member who can lead the development, management and administration of several of our West Coast sites. A leader who will build a culture of employee health & safety and good corporate stewardship. Reporting to the VP of Real Estate, Facilities and EHS, this position will actively support growth and consolidation initiatives within the region to assure proper implementation/alignment of policies, procedures and programs that promote well managed and well-maintained properties. The position will be a key member of the Global Real Estate and Facilities team which in total is managing ~2.7M SF, with ~90+ offices in ~26 countries throughout the Americas, EMEA and APAC.

  • Manage, develop and direct support of the Laser & Motion (L&M) division head quarters located in Milpitas, CA
  • Manage, lead and development of Facility teams located in Milpitas, CA, Portland, OR and Broomfield, CO with oversight and support for sites located in Logan, UT, Austin, TX and Nogales, Mexico
  • Manage, develop and strategic planning of corporate level facility programs and projects with an emphasis on collaboration with business leaders and stakeholders across the region
  • Work closely and collaborate with other regional Facility, EHS and Real Estate managers within the Organization to support the geographical expansion of the region and development of the MKS strategic plans. Includes working with outside consultants, agencies and specialists as may be needed to shore up technical or specific knowledge gaps in support of noted capital projects and  leasehold improvements
  • Manage, develop and strategic planning of Facility specific business continuity and disaster recovery plans (FM Global), including working with Facilities, EHS and local site management on site continuity plans
  • Support the EHS team on related site requirements, building/strengthening an organizational safety culture, behavioral based safety for employee engagement, ownership, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Manage and develop the Facility-CSR and sustainability initiatives and collection of data analytics
  • Manage and develop Capex/Opex site budgets for Facility programs and initiatives; be accountable within a global budget; drive for cost efficiencies and vendor contract fee management

  • BS Degree in related field or 7-10+ years of experience in related areas
  • Individual who likes solving challenges, looks for solutions and has a willingness to step out of their comfort zone
  • Success in this role is highly dependent on the ability to collaborate and develop great working relationships with BU leads, individual country site management, manufacturing and operations teams
  • Passion for sustainability and making a difference. Knowledge of CSR and GRI standards as well as experience/ knowledge of Carbon Disclosure Project
  • Ability and willingness to travel 20-25% within EMEA; occasionally to the US/Asia as may be needed
