Osso VR is the leading virtual reality surgical training and assessment platform. Our technology is being used by the top medical device companies to train thousands of surgeons, on dozens of the latest surgical techniques, in over twenty countries around the world. The Osso team has been fully remote since its inception 5 years ago. Our focus since then has been on scaling humanely, delivering an ever-growing set of valuable training experiences for medical partners. 


Our Customer Experience team includes talented specialists from the games and enterprise software industries. These specialists partner with our customers (doctors, surgeons, and other experts in the medical field) who share our mission of helping people, and using cutting edge technologies for greatest impact.

 

Your day-to-day responsibilities include:


  • Testing products and supporting Osso’s customers through their issues, questions, and concerns with software and hardware
  • Identifying ways to improve the product, our customer experience, and our release and support processes 
  • Identifying issues in product functionality and usability 
  • Creating actionable problem reports, helping the Osso team improve product quality
  • Advising the team on whether a particular build is ready to release 
  • Distilling feedback into actionable requests 


This is the right opportunity for you if you:


  • Have 5+ years experience testing software products, finding significant customer-impacting bugs
  • Have experience prioritizing issues based on customer impact 
  • Have experience investigating customer reports, diagnosing root causes
  • Are able to stay organized in a fast, fluid environment 
  • Are comfortable multi-tasking, working on multiple products and releases in parallel 
  • Are willing and able to view graphic surgical content as needed
  • Are willing and able to regularly use virtual reality gear, such as the Oculus Quest headset and Touch controllers, for extended periods of time
  • Have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Are a pragmatic and creative problem solver
  • Are responsible, reliable, and resilient, while maintaining a sense of humor 


Preferred qualifications:


  • Previous experience testing games or enterprise software
  • Previous experience working with remote/distributed teams
  • Previous experience with test automation
  • Previous experience with Agile/Scrum projects and processes
  • A demonstrated interest in virtual reality
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
