We are currently looking for an exceptional Engineering Manager who will be responsible for managing and leading those involved in the design, modification, and evaluation of all phases of our Optomechanical and Vibration Control product lines through the product development process from the concept phase to production release.  Our Vibration Control product line includes vibration isolators and optical tables that are intended to minimize the impact of environmental vibration that could provide inaccurate results during manufacturing and research & development.  While our optomechanical products include optic mounts and positioners that are intended to provide stability and precise positioning control in laser based applications

What you will do is:


  • Create plans for new optomechanical and vibration control development projects that include the scope, timeline, cost, and required personnel resources and track key project metrics throughout the project duration.
  • Direct the activities of a cross-functional project team including product management, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, operations and finance to successfully achieve project goals.
  • Maintain a strong collaborative relationship with the marketing group to ensure customer needs, product roadmaps and product capabilities stay aligned and that reasonable tradeoffs are made when that is not possible.
  • Provide regular project status updates to the senior management.

What will you bring to the team:

  • Hands-on experience with building opto-mechanical subassemblies.
  • Experience with modern cost-effective manufacturing methods for medium and low volume production.
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) simulation of stress and displacement.
  • Experience in architecture and design of complex opto-mechanical systems.
  • Project management experience
  • Optomechanical product development and transfer to overseas manufacturing
