Our silicon team is pushing the state-of-the-art with breakthrough work in computer vision, machine learning, mixed reality, graphics, power delivery, interconnect, displays, sensors, and new ways to map the human body. We work across the entire stack of system design, from transistors, architectures, firmware, and algorithms. Our chips will enable AR and VR devices to mix and match the real and virtual worlds throughout the day.As an Analog & Mixed-Signal Designer at Facebook you will work with a world-class group of engineers creating high-performance and low-power custom designs for our AR/VR chips. Special focus areas will include breakthrough displays, sensors, interconnects, low-power circuits, and power. Your work will include both design and analog design automation/CAD, in a workflow that spans design modeling, simulations on estimated and extracted parasitics, and validation both before tape-out and after silicon returns. We value excellent communication skills and strong cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities
  • Create high-performance and area/power efficient custom designs for Facebook’s leading-edge AR chips
  • Work closely with a team of exceptional circuit and logic designers to design through RTL, schematics, and models
  • Run simulations with parasitic data to predict performance and power, and validate functionality
  • Focus on low-power display technologies and pixel driver circuits, sensors, SRAMs, low-dropout voltage regulators, and interface (IO) circuits
  • Work with chip and block architects to understand macro floorplan, power distribution, and signal interfaces
  • Develop scripts as necessary to improve productivity and reliability
  • Participate in process improvements and complete any assigned circuit design task with minimal supervision
  • Travel both domestically and internationally up to 10% of the time
Minimum Qualification
  • M.S. or Ph.D. in EE, ECE, or related field
  • Experience in circuit simulation and modeling
  • 3+ years of experience with analog circuit design and feedback control systems
  • Experience communicating clearly and working effectively in a collaborative team
  • Experience in programming/scripting with Python or Perl
