ROLE

We are looking for a highly driven, hardworking, ambitious Product Manager to join our tech team. You will be responsible for the product and project management of our B2B2C SaaS software for brands and retailers. This is an opportunity to bring a compelling and innovative experience already in use at top brands to more retailers, and to work with leading fashion brands reimagining the future of retail. You should be highly motivated by emerging tech and highly interested in fashion, e-commerce, branding and retail.


You come from a technical background and have pivoted or are looking to pivot to a technical Product Manager role. You are an excellent communicator, analytical thinker with a pragmatic approach to problem solving. You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment and not afraid to go hands on and help solve technical problems with the engineering team. You have a Computer Science degree, have worked as a software engineer or product manager and are looking to leverage your technical expertise in a PM role. You have worked in gathering requirements from and communicating with senior stakeholders either internal or external. You are someone who wants to work really hard to have a big impact on growing a business and disrupting an industry.


This position is based full-time in New York City and is not remote or hybrid.



RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gather requirements from client team, product leadership, CEO and content team
  • Write precise, actionable tickets for the engineering team
  • Work closely with engineering team - inhouse and offshore - to explain requirements, align priorities, get estimates
  • Drive product execution and oversee development work streams on a day to day basis.
  • Conduct acceptance testing on completed tickets daily
  • Drive production releases daily
  • Interface with clients to communicate project status updates



QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years experience in a product manager or software engineer role
  • Analytical thinking and ability to break down complex problems into actionable tasks
  • Experience having worked on complex software projects in a product manager or software engineer role
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with agile and kanban software development methodolody
  • Experience with gathering requirements and writing tickets
  • Experience with acceptance testing and filing bug reports
  • Experience working with offshore dev teams
  • Extremely strong project management and organization skills
  • Ability to multi-task and own the product delivery process
  • Technical expertise – understanding of components of web architecture like frontend frameworks, backend APIs and cloud infrastructure
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience
  • Fast learner, proactive, positive, can-do attitude
