As a Digital Learning Experience Designer, you will collaborate with team of Learning Program Architects, business subject matter experts, and others to design and develop learner-centered learning experiences. You will create impactful, relevant blended learning solutions in a variety of applications (e.g., Articulate, Adobe, Camtasia) using adult learning theory, and best-in-class instructional design methodologies (e.g., Agile, ADDIE, SAM). You will also evaluate and proactively improve measurement of learning solution effectiveness using best practice methodologies aligned with performance and business outcomes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications :
  • At least 6 years total combined higher education and related work experience, including:
    • At least 1 year of human resources work experience and/or other learning/adult education work experience, including instructional design, training facilitation and/or learning consultation
    • At least 5 years of higher education and/or additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job including:
      • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Business, Communications, Health Care, Marketing or related field, or equivalent relevant work experience

Preferred Qualifications :

  • At least 2 years of experience working with a variety of learning development tools including Articulate (360, Rise, Storyline), Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator), and basic HTML.
  • Working experience with multi-media development (audio, video, motion graphics and animation)
  • At least 2 years of superior writing, editing, and layout skills for both facilitated (synchronous) and eLearning (asynchronous) learning materials
  • At least 2 years of experience designing solutions to learning industry standards (SCORM/ AICC/xAPI/etc.) for deployment in learning management systems (e.g., Workday Learning)
  • Working experience in AR and/or VR (augmented, virtual reality) or gamification platforms

Expectations :

  • Must reside in or around the Kansas City area
  • Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
  • Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
  • Perform other responsibilities as assigned
