Position Overview: The Senior Global Director of Marketing is a full-time position and will be responsible for designing and executing the organization’s strategic plan for marketing. As a senior member of our growing team, the Director will be instrumental in helping us position our brand and increase the sales pipeline. The position will place an ambitious senior marketing specialist at the forefront of a new and emerging marketplace. 


This is a remote position with the option to work from our Headquarters in San Francisco.


Responsibilities:

  • Own all marketing functions for Mursion while partnering closely with sales and customer success to maintain alignment and achieve revenue growth targets
  • Work with the CRO and other leadership to develop the business plan, marketing, and growth strategies
  • Serve as an active contributor and collaborative member of our dynamic senior leadership team
  • Lead a highly integrated marketing function and making high-performing - both strategic as well as a service to the business
  • Create and execute winning and creative brand marketing strategies to drive profitable growth
  • Uphold the balance between keeping brand authenticity and passion while focusing on revenue results
  • Collect, understand, and summarize marketing data and trends to learn more about our clients and our market share to help us plan strategically
  • Implement new marketing strategies and campaigns to accelerate growth across North America and globally
  • Strategize inbound demand generation to support the growth of revenue to $100m+
  • Evaluate the ROI of current channels and ensuring they are yielding results and driving revenue
  • Discover and optimize data-driven insights to expand growth
  • Managing the P&L for marketing
  • Manage the long term and short term growth needs for the business with a clear vision and path to success
  • Grow the team and further develop marketing leaders through mentorship and coaching
  • Design and execute a strategic plan to dramatically increase the number of inbound leads. 
  • Maximize our investments in outbound marketing activities, such as conferences. 
  • Overhaul the content of our website to drive more business.
  • Work closely with the sales and product teams to develop materials and tools that effectively communicate our value proposition
  • Position the organization as a thought-leader in VR-based training and behavioral skills by executing a strategy that will increase our media presence. 


About You

  • Held an executive leadership role at a $50m+ growth SaaS company
  • Effective at establishing and maintaining strategic alignment between sales, customer success, and marketing
  • ROI-driven approach to marketing and strong attention to detail and track record of increasing pipeline velocity
  • Proven experience and success across all disciplines of marketing (demand gen, product marketing, performance marketing, branding, strategy, site optimization, communications, business development)
  • Strong understanding of inbound and outbound marketing for the enterprise, as well as B2B sales
  • Demonstrable experience in positioning a company in a competitive market and winning market share
  • Experience in enterprise go-to-market models
  • A strong writer and communicator
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage key initiatives
  • Technologically savvy - experience with using a CRM, google analytics a must
  • Corporate Learning or talent development experience is an asset


Qualifications:

  • Have at least 7+ years of experience in a B2B marketing and communications role(s)
  • Proficient in marketing training and/or technology products
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and executing successful marketing campaigns
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Travel for trade shows and key conferences (approximately 5-10% FTE)
