The SharePoint Spaces Product Design Team is creating a new platform that lets anyone create their own stories in Mixed Reality using the power of Microsoft SharePoint. We’re looking for an experienced Principal Product Designer who is passionate about user-centered design approaches, product design excellence, and creating intuitive experiences that drive adoption of this powerful new medium. In this role, you’ll lead other UX designers, visual designers, design technologists, program managers, engineers, and researchers to create a modern authoring experience that enables enterprise MR content consumption on any 2- or 3D device.

Responsibilities

You’ll make far-reaching decisions, construct design solutions, and lead the team in defining the end-to-end Mixed Reality authoring and consumption experiences. The ideal candidate is an end-user advocate who can translate user needs and goals into both creative and pragmatic design solutions. You are experienced in the application of design philosophies and visual design best practices and drive consensus on project goal through design thought leadership. Qualified candidates must demonstrate the ability to execute and lead design work at the highest quality, within time and technical constraints, amid competing priorities, and ambiguous situations.

Qualifications
  • A degree in interaction design, human-computer interaction, 3D design, or a related discipline (e.g., architecture, industrial design, etc.) preferred.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in interaction and/or product design.
  • Proven track record driving end-to-end design for high-profile products.
  • Excellent presentation skills coupled with the ability to drive for consensus across multiple product teams and organizations.
  • Ability to frame complex design problems through concepts and diagrams.
  • Expert ability to conceptualize and develop innovative controls and patterns that work across 0D, 2D, and 3D experiences.
  • Mastery of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Unity, and/or other tools to create mixed reality concepts, detailed UX drawings, 3D prototypes, and design specs.
  • High-level of comfort with web-based technologies.

    Our research team's core mission is protecting Microsoft 365 useres across devices, identities, applications, and data via cross-category, tightly integrated threat protection for sec ops and sec-admins.     Responsibilities
    • Perform attacker tradecraft research and threat landscape investigation across endpoint and cloud-based attacks spanning devices, identities, applications, and data.
    • Partner with engineers and data scientists in a geographically distributed team to deliver innovative new product capabilities.
    • Threat hunting to discover real world advanced attacks together with designing and implementing automated detection and hunting analytics combining alerts and signals across Microsoft Defender security products.
    • Contribute to active engagement with the security ecosystem through papers, presentations, and blogs.
    • Provide subject matter expertise to customers based on industry attacks and product capabilities

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:
    • 5+ years of experience in cyber security with a background in the modern attacker kill-chain, MITRE ATTACK, and emerging enterprise threats including attacks against Azure/AWS and cloud services (O365, Exchange, Azure AD)

    Preferred Qualifications
    • BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology
    • Understand and deep knowledge of few commonly used by Red team
    • Reverse engineering experience: familiar with debuggers, disassemblers, protocols, file formats
    • Proficient in at least one programming language suchs as Python, C#, or C++
    • Offensive security research experience for cloud-based attacks
    • Industry recognized author of security research papers, blogs, presentations, or books.
    • SOC or blue team experience involving the hunting and discovery of adversaries in enterprise environments
    • Excellent cross-group and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate the business need for product improvements and a desire to engage directly with customers.
    • Experiencing working with and manipulating large data sets (i.e. billions of events per day)
