Who You’ll Work With:

We manufacture one of the world’s most extensive portfolios of connected products, including: PCs (ThinkPad, Yoga, Lenovo Legion), tablets, smartphones and workstations; as well as augmented and virtual reality (Mirage, ThinkReality), smart home office solutions, software and services. In this role you will be supporting our NA Intelligent Device Group (IDG). The IDG at Lenovo houses our PC and Smart Devices. We combine investment in high-growth segments (workstations, gaming, visuals, thin and light devices) with new innovation in the smart device categories and continue to explore new opportunities across AR/VR, artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), security and as-a-service solutions.

What You’ll Do:

The Event Manager will:

Support in-person and virtual NA events including:

Executive briefings, consumer, commercial, partner, customer advisory council and WW marketing strategic events. Be responsible for managing all aspects of planning and execution of event logistics, registration, products, staffing, alliance compliance, booth design and layout, security, operations and more to achieve the goals as set out by the business and defined by key stakeholders.

Skills Needed:
  • Communicate event details to internal and external customer base via excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Strictly adhere to budget requirements while delivering results on time within scope and 100% alliance compliance
  • Collaborate with NA Segment marketing managers, ambassadors, sales managers and the WW events team to best support the event strategy
  • Contribute to the process for Anaplan and Ariba actions (financial tools) to ensure payment process for events (i.e. vendor payment) occurs in a timely manner
  • Track all event activities through hosting regular call cadence, project management tools, providing regular updates to marketing teams
  • Identify ROI and show reporting/results with stakeholders, including best practices for future participation
  • Work closely with NA executives and teams participating to understand and define goals, success factors, and what is needed for success
  • Responsible for achieving all NA objectives within the scope of the WW event to include collaboration on locations, agenda, evening and hospitality activities, audience acquisition, registration, sponsorships, content, budget, alliance compliance, customer service, hardware requirements and driving NA attendance and customer meetings
  • Educate NA team, including sellers and executives, on NA participation in events to maximize NA participation
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) teams to include IDG products, content, and presentations to better demonstrate

Requirements:
  • 5-7 years Marketing/Event Planning experience
  • Must be able to travel 30% Strong interpersonal abilities to work with all sales, marketing disciplines and teams as well as external vendors
  • Ability to influence stakeholders within a matrixed organization through relationship building and strong presence
  • Passion for executing programs of the highest quality possible
  • Experience working in an account management role at a media/creative agency (or overseeing an agency relationship from client side).
  • Experience designing and producing virtual or hybrid customer experiences, such as webinars, virtual booths, etc.
  • Innovative approach to managing events and marketing communications to develop events that create buzz and engage
  • Lenovo partners and customers
  • Strong organizational experience and attention to detail to flawlessly manage numerous events each quarter
  • Strong project/budget management skills
