The Mixed Reality Systems Software Technology team has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Software Engineer who has experience contributing to the design, implementation and bring-up of sensor and other subsystems. If you find systems engineering, working with hardware, and developing software/firmware close to the hardware interesting, this may be the position for you.
Responsibilities
- Integration of sensor and camera subsystems into our products.
- Assist with hardware bring-up, 3rd party driver integration, and device manufacturing.
- Work in close partnership with a team of cross discipline peers including design, hardware, PM and Quality Engineering for sustained long term success.
- Maintain a focus on enabling customer, developer and IHV scenarios.
Required Qualifications:
- A BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 0-2+ years of relevant software design and development experience.
- Writing performance-critical code in C/C++
- Windows or Linux device driver development
- Experience with sensors, cameras, and/or audio
- Experience with I2C, I2S, SPI, MIPI or other bus technologies
- Experience with hardware bring-up
- Experience reading schematics, using a logic analyzer or other tools
- Outstanding technical problem-solving skills.
- Excellent design, coding, and debugging skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
