About The Job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines.

Our goal is to build a Google that looks like the world around us — and we want Googlers to stay and grow when they join us. As part of our efforts to build a Google for everyone, we build diversity, equity, and inclusion into our work and we aim to cultivate a sense of belonging throughout the company.

As a Program Manager in Augmented Reality, you are responsible for working with our business development, product management, software engineering, and external partners. You will assist in defining and driving programs focused on deployments of AR features, tools, methodologies, optimized implementations, and integrations, helping partners adopt the latest features and tools. As a Program Manager, you will have a dynamic and versatile role: from driving cross-functional initiatives, both internally and externally, to diving into technical details, plan and track deliverables, and keeping the programs on schedule.

The Google Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality team is a group of engineers, designers, and research scientists tasked with building the foundations for great immersive computing and prototyping helpful, delightful user experiences. We're focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile devices, and our scope continues to grow and evolve.

  • Drive collaborations on the Automation of Certification Tools and methodologies, working closely with external Partners for seamless transitioning.
  • Introduce and deploy AR related features and technologies, with external partners (carriers and OEMs) at scale, worldwide, in close collaboration with product management, business development and software engineering.
  • Improve product feature and certification tools offerings by providing partner feedback to internal cross-functional teams including product management, business development, and software engineering.
  • Perform technical reviews, advocate new product features and certification tools. Guarantee the technical aspects of a partner’s integration (both new and ongoing) by providing the necessary documentation, technical guidance and support.
