As a member of the Oculus Content group, you’ll work with the most progressive game and application developers in the world. Your ability to illustrate a vision for the evolution of interactive realities will enable you to bring new titles to our devices including Oculus Quest 2 and future platforms. You have a compelling read on where the games and apps industry is headed not only from the developer and publisher perspective, but just as critically - as a proxy for the everyday VR console consumer. You have a deep well of experience working on new platform or console launches. You’ve directly managed or helped external partners navigate new technologies and capabilities which have changed the interaction paradigm across technology generations. You’re observant on game and app genre trends which hold promise for virtual and augmented realities. You comprehend and anticipate the technical and design nuances which make VR design and development different. You have a great eye to identify the right partner fits from the development community. You bring to the team extensive negotiation experience along with being versed in contract language. Above all, you’ll thrive in (re)connecting with developers and publishers to land an ongoing stream of high-profile game releases on the Oculus Platform.

Responsibilities
  • Create an investment strategy and execute on the thesis to find promising use cases and product market fit for AR/VR content including both games and applications categories
  • Reach out to external developers to find strong products and partners
  • Establish the relationships, lead due diligence for investments into promising concepts that will result in a pipeline of products launched on the Oculus Platform
  • Work closely with product management teams to determine platform technology demands of the development community
  • Craft and lead programs that inflect the ecosystem as a whole and enable the creation of a profitable and sustainable ecosystem
  • Evangelize new and existing VR technologies with developers to ensure they are able to take full advantage of ongoing enhancements and improvements
  • Work cross-functionally with internal product, store, engineering, policy, legal, marketing, and PR teams to launch non-game applications for businesses and consumers
  • Can travel frequently for partner meetings, domestically and internationally
Minimum Qualification
  • 8+ years of working experience in games or interactive entertainment
  • Content partnerships, game publishing, and/or direct game development experience
Preferred Qualification
  • Specific experience in mixed reality, virtual reality, and/or augmented reality development, technologies and platforms
  • A charismatic demeanor and compelling experience in champion strategic initiatives and negotiations with the industry’s most senior and experienced leaders
  • Deep knowledge of the game and app development ecosystems, with a solid basis of industry relationships and connections
  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional groups to achieve success as a key member of a fast moving team
  • BA or BS degree
