Sr. System Engineer

  • Systems Engineering and Software Development for content conversion into complex media (e.g. PC Simulation, Augmented/Mixed/Virtual Environment, and Immersive Virtual Environment)
  • Perform System Requirements Analysis
  • Ensure technical accuracy, data, information, and reports meet Government specification and requirements
  • Use the Systems Engineering (SE) process to develop Complex Media Types (e.g. PC Simulation, Augmented/Mixed/Virtual Reality, and Immersive Virtual Environment)
  • Define, manage, and apply a requirements definition process IAW IEEE/ISO/IEC life-cycle information items
  • Define, manage, and apply a system architectural design process IAW IEEE/ISO/IEC
  • Define the requirements for the system, to transform the requirements into a product, and to verify the functionality of the delivered product.
  • Develop, Maintain and Coordinate system test planning and test schedules
  • Develop and write test procedures, perform systems verification testing, and write Test / Inspection Reports (T/IR)
  • Develop Verification Cross Reference Matrices for tracking Requirements compliance
  • Perform activities such as Risk Analysis, Fault Tree Analysis, Common Cause Analysis, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis and Failure Modes and Effects Summary
  • Develop Systems Requirements Documents such as Software Development Plan (SDP) and Software Product Plan (SPD)
  • Provide support to system engineering activities in all phases of product life cycle
  • Participate in reviews and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of the design application
  • Prepare reports and presentations for leadership and customers
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested


Supervisory Responsibilities

This position has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Must possess an in depth understanding and application of military systems engineering specifications and standards
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with Government System Engineers and Managers
  • Must have the ability to write and review Government documents, plans and test procedures
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with Program/Project personnel
  • Prefer working knowledge of Software Product Design (SPD)
  • Working knowledge of Systems Engineering Technical Reviews IAW NAVAIRINST 4355.19E
  • Must have the ability to multitask multiple projects concurrently
  • Must have detailed working knowledge of Microsoft Tools
  • Must have effective oral and written communication skills to communicate complex information effectively and clearly to others as well as to present information in a group environment
  • Must have strong professional customer service skills to include active listening and pro-active follow up ability
  • Must have strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Can learn and understand corporate policies and procedures and how they relate to Yulista’ s goals
  • Be able to perform basic mathematical computations, detect unobvious facts and issues, and exercise resourcefulness in resolving problems
  • Be able to work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
  • Ability to travel if required


Qualifications
  • Must have a bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering or closely related field with a minimum of 8 years task related experience
  • Experience with training product hardware and software design (MELD, Captivate, AIM CPM/LOM), including media characteristics is desired
  • Familiarity with Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM) specifications and procedures
  • Previous military OMS and training systems experience is highly desired

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance
