VR Developer Intern

Role Summary

The Digital Ecosystem Applications team is responsible for research and pre-development of future generation infotainment, connected vehicle and mobility concepts. The intern is responsible for participating in one/more of the projects in the team and contribute in Virtual Reality application development.

Role Responsibilities
  • Development of software modules for different cross-disciplinary VR projects
  • Implement immersive spatial computing experiences that showcase user journeys of our product concepts.
  • Work closely with VR and design team to implement UX flows and technical challenges
  • Engage in brainstorming sessions to identify XR (Extended Reality) based front-end technologies to showcase customer-facing innovation concepts for mobility

Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at a University/College or Graduation date must be within the last six months
  • Self-motivated, flexible individual with high degree of ownership and accountability for results
  • Analytical and conceptual thinking – using logic and reason
  • Must have programming e xperience with Unity and C#
  • Must have VR development experience (preferably using head mounted displays like Oculus Quest/Rift, Vive)
  • Experience with tools like Blender, Audacity, Photoshop/Premiere would be highly advantageous
Required Skills
  • VR development using Unity, C#, Oculus and Vive hardware with a VR compatible PC
  • Evaluate and experiment with new spatial computing technology (both software and hardware)
