We are seeking a 3D Artist on a contract basis to help support our Customer’s business needs. The main function of the 3D Artist is to create AR effects, interactive scenes and/or characters art. A typical 3D Artist needs to have a high level of creativity and able to communicate their ideas to the art director and their team. Being flexible to project demands, working well under pressure and multitasking are required skills.

What You’ll Do

• Plan, analyze and create 3D visual assets for animation and AR projects.
• Utilize a combination of hand drawing and computer design to produce animations and graphics.
• Prepare sketches or layouts to present to team.
• Create and prepare 3D models, animations, and visual effects within proprietary engine
  

Must Haves

• Creativity, verbal and written communication skills and problem solving ability.
• Basic ability to visualize in 3D and understand aesthetic aspects of design.
• Strong understanding of interactive media and familiarity with games
• Experience with Adobe publishing and graphics software.
• Experience using Unity or Unreal or similar software
• Familiarity with Maya, 3ds Max, or Blender
• Any experience working in augmented reality or virtual reality projects
• 2D/Sketching or illustration skills
  

Education

• Associate's degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design required. Bachelor's degree in design or related field preferred.
  

Hours & Location:

• M-F, 40 hours/week. This role will be remote while COVID restrictions are in place. The expectation is to be onsite at our Customer’s Menlo Park, CA office once it is determined safe to do so.
