Job Summary

The Media Lead will supervise a team of individuals that will design, develop, and deliver engaging interactive illustrations and media in support of Technical Publications and Training Curriculum development. This role will lead people and projects to meet customer requirements and schedules.. In addition, it is expected that this role will read and interpret engineering drawings with CAD models and prepare exploded views of equipment to be converted into a variety of media to include animations, line art/images, videos, etc. which are to be used in work instructions, lesson plans, and student guides as well as a variety of other requirements.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
  • Lead the team and collaborate to ensure work is completed in a timely and quality manner, track projects and time cycles of illustration and training media.
  • Supervise the creation of detailed parts breakdown illustrations and disassembly/assembly illustrations using Windchill/CATIA/CREO software.
  • Provide status reports, participate in the ADDIE process for curriculum development.
  • Decipher complex mechanical and technical data and convert into visual information.
  • Research and understand emerging trends and future technologies within the field of AR/VR, Modeling & Simulation, and Simulators.
  • Identify and implement creative new media solutions and content.
  • Develop process documentation and improve current processes as needed.
  • Prepare work for sub-contractors, ensure work is kept to budget, schedule, style, quality, and accurately handled and stored.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design/Arts, Technical Communications, or a related field.
  • Six (6) or more years of experience in related field.
  • Ability to travel 10%.


Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.
  • Proficiency with Windchill, Creo, Keyshot, 3DSMAX
  • Experience with Illustration, or Graphics artwork.
  • Experience with Adobe Framemaker and Indesign.
  • Experience with simulation software/programing ie UNITY3D.
  • Experience with AR/VR software programs.
  • Experience with curriculum development processes ie ADDIE.
  • Mechanical and spatial aptitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and a keen sense of page/document layout.
  • Proficiency in interactive authoring languages; experience in ActionScript, HTML 5, XML, Illustrator, or Photoshop.
